Hello everyone, I am so excited about another HOSA year. Below is the information for both the Fall Leadership Conference and the District Leadership Conference. I really really hope hope everyone can attend. I have just listed things to make reading easier. I like things short and simple. If you are having difficulty finding forms please let me know and I will send the form to you in an e-mail. I have been sending e-mails with information about PALC meeting if you have not received any e-mails from me please let me know so I can add you to the list. If I have left anything out let me know.

Fall Leadership Conference:

Location: Wake Forest (Baptist Hospital) Winston Salem, NC
Meet  in Babcock Auditorium

Date: October 18th, 2011

Number of students who can attend: Max of 10

Fees: $5.00 per student (will be donated to Juvenile Diabetes after Conference

Dress Code: Polo shirt with Khakis. Closed toe comfortable walking shoes (tennis shoes) shoes should be neat and
clean.

Due date for fees and registration: October 3rd, 2011
Other Requirements: TB and Hep B test recommended and should be documented on registration. This is a
recommendation only. Please make students aware they will be touring the hospital.
Activities: Morning: Business meeting, lunch, after lunch tour of facility
Parking: Bernard Roper is checking on parking for buses will give more information as received.

Parking: Parking lot at cafeteria

Dress Code: Business attire. Closed toe shoes. Blue or black pants/skirt, white blouse/shirt. Blazer/suit coat. Gentleman: tie. NO peek-a-boo shoes where toes are showing. Skirt and blouse should be appropriate. Pants should not be sagging.


ALONG WITH YOUR APPLICATION PLEASE INCLUDE  THE  NAMES  OF ANY VOLUNTEERS YOU WILL BRING WITH YOU AND THE EVENT THEY WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN. ALSO INCLUDE THE EVENT YOU WOULD LIKE TO COORDINATE.

THINGS TO REMEMBER: Please encourage your students to run for office. All forms are in the HOSA advisor handbook or attached. If you cannot find them please feel free to call or email me anytime.

Please encourage your students to apply for the District 7 scholarship.
Don't forget to keep your information for the gold star teacher award. It's really easier than I thought. I know none of us like to brag about what we do. We just do it. But this is a great opportunity to receive a little much deserved recognition.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for helping me through my first year as your representative. I promise to do a good job for you this year as well. I am always available to you so don't hesitate to call me for anything. Except;;;; I don't think I can sub for you while you go on vacation. LOL!!  But, maybe Libby Silvey could. Just kidding Libby. Thank you especially Libby for carrying me through last year. Hope to see you all soon and I love hearing from you.
