SLC 2021 - Tentative Agenda
A final agenda will be posted after registration deadline and closer to conference. The final agenda may change based on registration. The current agenda includes all dates from registration deadline to Virtual Awards.
Barbara James Service Award
The cutoff date for Barbara James Service Award hours is March 19, 2021. All hours must be entered and APPROVED by chapter advisors in the HOSA online activity tracking system by midnight on this date. The levels of recognition for SLC are below. Please understand these amounts are NOT the same as what is required for recognition at ILC. The ILC requirements are located in the event guidelines.
2021 SLC Recognition Levels
Bronze Level: 67.0 - 116.9 approved hours
Silver Level: 117.0 - 166.9 approved hours
Gold Level: 167.0 + approved hours
SLC 2021 - Intent Form for ILC Participation
Students - please complete the Intent Form so we know if you want to compete in ILC 2021. You can complete the form before you know your event placement for SLC 2021 so we know if you intend to compete. Thanks so much and good luck in competitions!!
SLC 2021 - MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle school competitors with required uploads for competitive events, please select the correct form and complete the information by March 19, 2021. If a team event, one team member may fill out the form and list team members. SLC 2021 - Prevent Blindness
Prevent Blindness NC is pleased to continue awarding special recognition to HOSA chapters who participate in the vision screening certification program. The first award, Every Youth’s Eyes Award (E.Y.E. award), is awarded to the chapter that screened the largest percentage of elementary school students in their school district. This chapter will receive a plaque and $100. The second award is the Healthy Eyes for Little People Award (H.E.L.P. award). This is given to the HOSA chapter that has the best overall participation in vision screening in their school district. This chapter will receive a plaque and an award of $100.

SLC 2021 - NC HOSA Award Nominations
NC HOSA annually recognizes those individuals or groups who have made outstanding
contributions to North Carolina HOSA. Chapters should submit a completed nomination form
(see link below) to NC HOSA by March 6, 2021. If you have questions, please
Honorary Life Member - Given to an individual who has made a long-term contribution to NC
HOSA, and who is deserving of a high honor.
VIP Award - Given to a person in an educational administration position who has demonstrated
outstanding support of NC HOSA, i.e. CTE Directors, Superintendents, Principals, Legislators,
Partnership Award - Given to a person or organization outside of NC HOSA, based on their
contribution to NC HOSA in strengthening the partnership of supporting our future health
professionals, i.e. hospitals, health agencies, healthcare organizations, businesses, local and
state agencies, etc.
Merit Award - Given to a person within the HOSA organization or working with the
organization who deserves recognition for his/her special efforts, i.e. advisors, retired advisors,
alumni, national officers, parents, spouses, etc.
